Who I Am

Dear Readers,
I am Sherif Benhawy,
Professionally, I am a veteran marketer, market researcher, data scientist, and business analyst with more than twenty-five years of experience across multiple fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) categories, markets, and continents. Throughout my career, I have worked extensively on consumer insights, strategic marketing, business analytics, and data-driven decision-making across diverse international environments.
I hold two master’s degrees, including a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Roehampton, London. In addition, I am a Certified Data Science and Business Analysis professional – Texas University, USA, as well as a Certified graduate of the Market Research Society (MRS) in London.
Beyond the corporate world, I serve as a University Guest Speaker for MBA students and senior undergraduate marketing students, delivering lectures and discussions on marketing, market research, consumer behavior, and business strategy. I also contribute as an Advisory Board Member in academic and professional capacities.
On the literary side, I am a published author with three books to date. Two of my published works are thesis-style books focusing on marketing, social media, and consumer behavior case studies. I am also an Academia.edu member and have contributed several academic papers in marketing and brand management. My work has been cited and referenced in multiple academic publications.
My latest book, MINDS IN BATTLE, is a novel-based self-help story in which I blended fiction with personal development to create a hybrid literary experience.
Writing has been a lifelong passion of mine, alongside other interests such as travel, music, reading, and playing tennis. My earliest encounter with writing began during my school years through French poetry. Initially, I wrote during French language classes, but gradually writing became a constant companion throughout all subjects. Inspiration often emerged through imaginative scenarios and visualizations during lessons, which I later documented in notebooks once I returned home.
My connection with the French language is deeply personal. I graduated from a French college in Cairo, Egypt, where the entire curriculum was taught in French. Over the years, I developed a profound admiration for the language and its literary elegance. Although I now write primarily in English, I still enjoy reading—and occasionally writing—in French. I don’t want to lose the French!
I genuinely believe that words possess the power not only to change the world, but also to transform people’s lives. When words resonate with the human mind and reflect authentic lived experiences, readers often discover deeper truths about themselves through them.
